Ashley couldn't belive that she was acually pulling up the long gravel drive to the academy. She had sent in her student application in not knowing if she would be accepted. But when that letter came in the mail. Oh that was the best day of her life. Ashley had no regrets leaving her hometown.
Pulling into a parking space right along side the large barn she parked her black Jeep Wrangler and rented one horse trailer. This was it. The start of a whole new begining for her and Monty. Pushing open the door Ashley hoped out of her ride and took in the sweet smell of horse and manuer before moving to the back of the trailer where Monty had been quite the whole trip now was anounceing his arrival to everyone at the barn. "yes yes yes they all know your here buddy"she chuckled out before unlatching the back of the trailer and slipping inside with her chain leather lead rope in hand.
Inside the trailer she hooked the lead rope onto his halter allow the chain part to hang ontop his nose. Monty who was to busy whining and snorting to bother with the chain over his snout. "Easy boy" Ashley soothed as she slowly backed Monty up. As they now stood in the bright midday sun Monty's ears pricked every which way and sweat broke from his neck. Monty was never very good at moving from one place to another which meant that him and Ashley couldn't show as much as they wanted. Her hand patted his broad neck and her lips made soothing noises as she tried to comfort the stallion before leading him inside the barn.
The stallion seemed to calm slightly once they were in the slightly darker barn. Slowly stopping once in a while in the hall to comfort the shaky stallion. Then she moved one and after 3 stops Ashley had Monty in his stall and he was exploring his new home. "thats my boy nothing to be afraid of" She cooned to the bay horse before leaving the stall to go get her tack chest that had all of Monty's stuff inside. When she returned Monty was in the back of his stall leaning on the wall and was dozeing. That was a good sign. Pushing the chest to the side of his stall she sat on it and pulled off her sneakers and pulled on her boots.

Leonardo Samuel Honeyset romeo take me somewhere we can be alone, i’ll be waiting all theres left to do is run. you’ll be the prince and i’ll be the princess, its a love story baby just say yes.
The young man walked swiftly across the yard, hearing the light tapping of his footfalls against the cobbles as he moved. He was in no hurry, for there was little to do around here but care for his horses. At the moment, there was nobody signed up for any lessons, which meant that he had unlimited time with his horses. Time which he intended to spend putting his more advanced horses, Kalona and newly arived Oblivion, through their paces, whereas it would be new training for the young Bravado. Leo had travelled with Kalona to this new place, to check out the facilities and check everything would be alright before he sent for his other horses.
Oblivion was his second horse. A kindly grey warmblood mare with an honest heart, and a love and admiration for Leo. They where perfect together in a different sense than he was with Kalona. Him and Kalona where harder together, a strong partnership where trust was mutual, but mistakes couldn't be made. With Oblivion, she was much more forgiving and willing to trust. If Leo made a mistake, she would usually correct herself rather than dig in her heels, and she was a lighter ride, with a less bold, more safe jump than Kalona. It didn't make her any better, just more advanced.
Bravado was Oblivion's offspring. A cheeky but adorable black stallion. Leo had not ridden him yet, but Bravado was already used to the saddle and bridle, as he'd been lunged for months now. Leo was taking his time with the lad, detirmined to make a good horse out of him. Leo could handle stallions fairely easily, and he was in no hurry to geld the creature, for hope that he wouuld be able to produce some good foals from him, just like he hoped with Kalona.
Leo walked into the barn, feeling the coolness and airyness as a relief after the dry heat. Sure, fall brought the cold, but it was still hot at some times during the day. Leo paused breifly by Kalona's stall, seeing the stall empty and nodding to himself. He'd put the horse out earlier, as he always did put Kalona out in the morning, so that he could look after the other two horses before swapping them round. It was easier to do it that way rather having all the horses waiting for him at once. Yet sometimes a stable hand would bring Kalona in if they needed to, or if they had time. Otherwise Leo did it. The stall was how it should be, perfectly tidy, with a bed of clean shavings, a full haynet for lkunch in the corner, and two filled to the brim water buckets.
Leo hurried on and gave Oblvion a neat pat on her soft neck, offering her half a carrot and laughing as her velvet lips picked it up. As she crunched it, Leo moved on again to stop at Bravado's stall. He was going to attempt to put weight on the stallions back today. The plan was that he'd lunge him for half an hour, put him through the basics, and then hold him still whilst Leo lightly pushed himself into the saddle so he was resting on Bravados back on his stumoch. That was always the first step. Getting the horse to accept your weight.
Leo let himself into Bravado's stall, smiling boyishly as the stallion greeted him with a gentle snort. Leo patted him kindly before reaching to unhook the halter from the peg, and slip it on over his nose and buckle it behind his delicate ears. It was only then he heard the echoing footsteps and clacking of horses hooves. A young woman, a student, appeared, leading a bay horse behind her. Leo watched as she led the horse into the empty stable next to Oblivion, and then he withdrew his curious head. She must be new. Deciding on impulse, Leo picked up Bravado's lead and led him out the door, but instead of turning left down to the corss-ties, he turned right and paused outside Oblvions door, far enough away from this new horse so neither him nor Bravado could dissagree with each other.
" Hi there, I'm Leo Honeyset, instructor for Sycamore Acadmey. " He introduced, holding out one hand for the girl. He was just being polite.

It seemed that Monty wasn't to to stressed about the whole move. Which was comforting. It was the one thing she feared about moving him here to the academy. They had moved a couple times to differnt barns and it seemed to affect Monty in a not so great way and it useally meant him losing weight because he refused to eat or him gaining it because she couldnt get on him and give him the daily work out that the large stallion needed. But from the looks of things he seemed almost relax. That put her fears and worries to rest. One of the other reasons that Ashley had brought him here was for breeding purposes. She was hoping that she could make some money from stud fee's. If not she was going to geld him. It was just getting to be to much for her. He was getting to be more of a handful as he matured so if she couldnt get his bloodlines passed on threw a foal then she knew gelding would have to be her next resort. As Ashley pulled on her ariat feild boots Monty came and blew lightly on the back of her neck. Well that was another good sign. As she finished pulling on her last boot she stood up from the chest and gave the dark stallion a peck on the nose before opening the large detailed chest. Ashley pulled out some wraps and cottons. She was honestly to busy getting out supplies for Monty to even notice that someone had joined her in the barn. With the spray bottle filled with a calming aid in hand she looked up when a voice reached her ears. Turning around she saw the owner of the voice. "Hi" she smiled in greeting."Im Ashley Samson new student here" she shook his outstreched hand with her free one. "And this is Monty he doesnt like new places all that much" Ashley looked back at her Stallion hoping he wouldnt get to stressed with this guy around. But he seem okay, his ears were the farthest thing from being pinned. Which was odd and puzzled Ashley.

A heavy foot fall could be heard for miles as Marci ran after Perfection who had bolted in the gate of paddocked after another horse spooked. Marci huffed as she watched the small black mare gallop around a tree letting large mean bucks out as she moved toward the barn. "Perfection." Marci called out her tone loud but sweet hoping to catch the mares attention. "Settle little one your okay nothing is going to hurt you." She huffed out as she held her side. It was a long run back and that mare was real damn quick!
Marci slowed down and watched at Perfection turned to the barn to run in but the sight of something spooked her, again. She came to a messy halt rearing up and slamming to the ground her head held high and eyes whiter then a cloud. Marci started to approach the scared and confused mare. "Perfection its okay love. Nothing is going to hurt you just calm down." Marci spook out calm and softly as she averted her eyes away from the mare and dropped her shoulders down because she knew looking at the mare eye to eye was a threat to her and could spook her more.
The black mare reared up lashing her hoofs and smashing around but Marci stood her ground showing that she wasn't scared of the mare and she wasn't going to hurt her. "Settle..." Marci spoke as she stepped forward with a hand out ready to grab the lead drop dangling from the halter. Perfection did a half rear backing up in fear she didn't know were to go and who to trust. "Easy little gal you're okay." Marci said again as she finally got the lead rope in her hand.
"Good girl..." Marci spook softly running her hand over the mares eyes. She did that to relax the mare, she learned it when she was younger and working with her mom with stressed horses. She saw it worked rather well with Perfection since the mare got stressed very easily. Marci also liked T touch she saw it affective too on Perfection.
Once the small black mare was calming down Marci stood by her shoulder and clicked her tongue. "Walk on." Marci said, Perfection walked forward a little quickly her ears forward and nostrils flaring. Marci pulled lightly on the lead asking the mare to slow down a bit and put her head down and willingly Perfection did and Marci was happy with that. Walking to the entrace of the barn Marci looked in at a young lady she guessed was Ashely and an older man she new as Leo. "Is everyone okay? I didn't mean to startle anyone if I did... Perfection bolted at the gate because someone spooked." Marci rolled her eyes.
Perfection huffed and tried to step forward as she grew impatient but Marci quickly corrected the mare and made her take a step back. Perfection tried to resist but soon gave in and stepped back like a good little girl she should be. "You must be Ashely I'm guessing." Marci said, gesturing to the girl in the barn. She guessed because she had a picture of her and Monty since she liked to knew what her students looked like before hand. "Hows Monty settling in?" Marci asked just standing at the entrance with Perfection making the mare stand there and wait and you could tell she wasn't very pleased she was expected to wait.

Leonardo Samuel Honeyset romeo take me somewhere we can be alone, i’ll be waiting all theres left to do is run. you’ll be the prince and i’ll be the princess, its a love story baby just say yes.
Curious as to this new horse, the black stallion stretched his long neck out, audits pricked in interested, nares flared as he blew loudly at the newcomer. But Leo had judged the distance well, and Bravado could barely even reach the rails that seperated Monty's stall from Oblvion's. The grey mare whinnied loudly, concerned for her foal, warning him to be wary around new horses.
Leo smiled warmly, but gave the stallion a commanding tug on the halter, which Bravado barely listened to. Instead, he shuffled forward a few steps, barging Leo in his attempt to greet the new horse. Leo was not a harsh person, he was infact incredibly gentle to horses, but he did not like or encourage bad manners, and so he tap the stallion lightly on the shoulder and gave him a sharper tug on the lead in reprimand. This time Bravado reined back several steps, and retracted his nose.
" Welcome to Sycamore Acadmey, Ashley. Will i be seeing you in any of my lessons? " Leo asked curiously. When the girl introduced her horse, Leo grinned his boyish grin and ducked his head. " I'm sure he'll enjoy it here, the horse facilities are brilliant. " Leo said earnestly, then he added. " Same can't be said for my horses. They get used to everything far too quickly, curious bunch of misfits. This young lad is Bravado. The grey mare who's watching us is Oblivion, his mama. And my other stallion, Kalona, is currently tearing it up in the fields. " Leo laughed gently. Bravado jingled the chain on his halter in impatience, and Leo reassured him with a breif pat.
As Leo was about to speak again, he heard the clattering of hooves on the cobbles of the yard, and he closed his mouth and frowned. Alert emerald orbs darted to the open doors of the barn as he heard pounding flints approach. A horse came into view and reared suddenly. The mare wasn't close enough to cause damage, but she was enough to spook Bravado into a frenzy. He was only a young lad, and he hadn't had much time to get used to life yet, so it was natural that he backed up fast, Leo was unable to stop him as he backed into the other side of the isle and his back end bumped the wooden stable opposite, spooking him further so that he shot forward and smashed into Leo. Leo fell, the rope slipped from him fingers and Bravado took off alongside the mare, the whites of his eyes blared in the light. Damnation!
Grunting in pain, Leo picked himself up and rushed out into the light, watching as Bravado circled away from the mare, and so Leo ignored the other horse and her owner. Bravado snorted widly, pausing as the white painted paddock fence stopped him in his tracks, and he pawed the earth, tossing his crania in fright. Leo took a deep breath, ignoring the sharp pains in his shoulder as he centered himself around the stallion and bent his head to look at his horses flints. Never look a horse in the eye. Rule number one. Leo took slow paces toward Bravado, watching as the horse's eyes darted around him, and his ears twitched rapidly until he realised there was no danger. Sighing, Leo picked up the trailing lead rope and took a firm hold, leading the prancing stallion back to the barn. He was sweating badly, and he was still nervous, but Bravado more or less trusted Leo with his life, and was calmer now the mare had seemingly been caught.
Leo took the stallion back into the barn, stopped him outside his own stable and looping his lead through the ring which was outside his door, and tying the rope tight. He knew that, when Bravado had pushed him aside to escape, he's cut his left forearm. He'd felt the searing sensation, and he could feel the steady dripping of the blood down his arm, but otherwise he was unhurt. Lucky really. Leo groaned as he pulled off his jacket and saw the extent of the damage. It seemed that an old nail sticking out of the box outside Oblivions door had caught his arm as he'd flung his arms out to catch his fall. Now, a long laceration extended from the top of his shoulder along to his elbow. It wasn't too deep, more a surface wound, but the blood was enough to make him feel sick. Breathing deeply and calmly, Leo pulled at his plain white t-shirt, yanking off a long strip of the white shirt before lifting the short sleave to expose the wound fully and then wrap the strip around the wound and tie it tight. The blood stopped pouring, and Leo was now able to pull his enitre shirt over his head and mop up the blood which had run down his arm and side. Some of the blood had already dried in stains down his arm, but he'd wash it off in a minute. For now, he bundled up the bloody shirt and through it onto the box of stuff he had outside Oblivions stall before reaching inside for a plain black tee which is always had spare inside.
Once that was done, he sighed and looked back up to see Marci and Ashley and grimmanced at Marci's words, eyes looked briefly at the gorgeous troublemaking mare, before a smile replaced his features. " Not much harm done. Bravado still needs to learn that he can trust me when i tell him he ain't gonna die. I'll live. " He said, thinking of how he'd now have to go shower before he could complete his work on Bravado, and that the stallion would be more wound up than he'd want. Looking back at Bravado, he began to work his hands rythmically over the black horse, whispering gentle words to him to sooth him, and it wasn't long before he felt the stallion relax. It was a kind of t-touch he'd learnt at school, but it was different, and the words he whispered where Italian, not English.

Ashley had planned on wrapping Monty's legs, spay down his body and give him a slight massage with her calming-aid spray and then give his body a good once over. Just to make sure he didn't cut or hurt himself during their rather long trip here. He was known to hurt himself during trailer rides. He wasn't the best traveler he would panic and thrash about at random momments. He was getting better but still couldn't take any chances for the first couple shows she went with him she had to sedate him. Monty seemed differnt here. He seemed calm and relaxed. Ashley was thinking it had to do something with the atmotspere around the barn that was affecting him. Couldnt be better, maybe this place was the perfect place for them. Ashley had second thoughts after she had been accepted but now she didn't even seccond guess her disicion to come here. As Ashley finished introducing herself and Monty to Leo she finished pulling out her supplies for Monty including some vitemine E for any cuts that he had. But her body shot up when Monty seems to startle inside his stall. "Shhhhhhhhh big boy" Ashley soothed. Her voice seemed to be calming to Monty and he settled huffing and puffing. It didn't last long before Monty had his head out of the stall window again and reaching out to the other stallion. Another odd thing for Monty but she wasn't going to scold him for being curious. Maybe he would make friends for once. Somthing the stallion never really had a nack for. He was either bullying lower horses around or at the bottom of the pecking order himself. "Lessons maybe, I need a job first and this boy needs to settle before I jump on him" Ashley chuckled slightly and set down her supplies. "Which may be a while and if I want to stay alive Im taking it slow"She told him pushing the blond him away from her face. The girl was about to go on about the stallions problems before she to heard the hoof beats followed by a femine voice. Looking up and around she smiled she knew that girls voice they talked over the phone. "Yeah Im Ashley and you are Marci right and surprisingly he seems almost relaxed but I havnt check him over yet, i can only imagine what kind of damage he has done to himself" she paused and looked at her stallion still with his blanket one. "Half way here he managed to trash all four of his shipping boots" she shook her head just thinking stupid horse. It was only then did it all happen to fast and Leo's horse spooked and only then when Leo returned with his horse did she notice the blood. "Oh shit" Ashley gasped slightly. Watching him tear his shirt and cover his war wound. "I think you should go clean that up, god only knows what that nail got in there" she looked from his arm to his face.

" Taking it slow? That's always the best thing for spooky horses, or excitable one's. " Leo turned his head to spare a glance at Bravado. Then he added " Yeah i know, it's gonna take a good long shower to get rid of this crap, and maybe a trip to the doctors. " Leo groaned. He already still had Oblivion to exercise, plus that cheeky Bravado to lunge. Both dam and son needed mucking out, haying and watering. Kalona was the only horse done for the day, apart from bringing him in for the night. He didn't have the damn time to go to the doctors.
" I'll deal with it in a bit. " Leo grimmanced and mumbled, not knowing if the head mistress, Marci, would protest. But he wanted to get the horses done. Turning his back on the other two for the moment, Leo decided not to move Bravado to the cross-ties. Instead, Leo grabbed the dandy brush from the box, grunting as his cut stung when he stretched out his arm, and began to brush it roughly at the dry mud on the stag's torso. He was still participating in the convosation, and he called over his shoulder as he bent to run the brush down Bravado's legs to ask. " So how's everything going you two? " Leo asked both Marci and Ashley. Then he remembered the plans later. " Still up for the ride later? " He quickly asked Marci, checking.
