.Before The Horse - The Colors Of the Rainbow. Here you will learn every horse colors and the different shades of them. There are several different colors on horses and even next colors. You will learn about the basic colors, bay, chestnut and black with the different shades they have like bays; they have Mahogany bay, Light Bay, Dark Bay(Or Brown), and Blood Bay. There are many colors some very simple and some confusing as heck but we all need to learn them. - Best Breed. How just buying any old breed of horse isn't always the best idea because it maybe known to be a very hot breed. Like arabs who have been know to be hot and difficult and that may not be the best for you. In this lesson we will cover as many breeds as possible learning what temperaments they may have, there best disciplines and heath issues that may happen to them.
- Horse Conformation. General conformation is a must to know for everyone. All horses have different looks some good for the horse and some bad so its good to know how to tell them apart. In this lesson you will get to have a small trip with Marci out to the barn to see her horse Sugarfoot and look at his conformation.
- Equine Anatomy. A big part to know but you will have to go though it and it will take some time to learn and understand. You will learn about External anatomy, Teeth, Feet, Skeletal system, Ligaments and tendons, Muscular system, The Eye, and Hearing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equine_anatomy - Leg Gear/Halters/Blankets. In this lesson you will learn about leg gear for the horse like bell boots, tendon boots, bandages, ect. Halters and how they need to be adjusted and stuff plus getting a horse the kinds of blankets they need. - Cleaning and grooming. An important part before putting tack on a horse is knowing how to groom them well. This lesson will cover types of brushes and how to use them, cleaning the hooves, and general care. - Tacking up! In this lesson you will start by learning the parts of the saddle, ie; cantle, seat, ckirt. Then move onto fitting the saddle and getting the correct size for your horse then how to care for the tack. Will also go over what the standing martingale is and the running martingale plus types of saddles, bits and bridles. Also the two breast plates.

.Equine Basics - Getting To Know Your Horse and His Feelings. This lesson will be the first lesson about horses and learning how they react to things and how to tell how they feel. Learn the best ways to approach a horse that is shy or aggressive, how to tell if they are depressed, or if there afraid or if they are showing any signs of getting sick; like colic. But not to deep into illnesses since that comes in later on lessons. This lesson will also be about how your horse feels about you, how to create a strong bond. The dos and don't on handling a new horse.
- Perfect Ground Manors. On this lesson you will be working on learning to correct your horse from the ground and learn how to tell if he is being good or bad. Whether your retraining an old horse to be good or a young horse to learn how to behave this all works. We start out with standing still methods, horses that resist having there feet handled and how to correct it, teaching them to wait, and field chasing. We all know are horse isn't perfect but there is only one reason, are selves.
- Basic Riding in English and Western. The basics of riding is important to know and not just the style you ride but knowing both. Having a chance to explore another style of riding always improves not just your horse but you yourself. This lesson covers the basics of mounting, dismounting, walking, trotting, cantering, turning left, turning right, halting, different between gaits, aids to ask gait, perfect position, holding the reins, natural aids, artificial aids, lateral aids, diagonal aids, opening rein, neck or bearing rein, direct rein, ect. You will also learn flexibility exercises plus riding rules with basic school figures.
- The Knowledge Of Riding. Once basic riding is covered you need to know what discipline you will be riding and training in whether it is one or three different ones. Your always better of starting with one but your a free person so it doesn't hurt unless you mess up. In this lesson you will learn the going ons in each discipline.
- Soundness. This lesson covers soundness. Why the horse may become unsound, how to recognize lameness and points of unsoundness on the horse like, saddle sores, bowed tendon, bone spavin, ect. - Stable vices. this lesson will cover what vices are and types of vices like meanness, cribbing, windsicking ect. Also will explain the best ways to stop these vices.
- Preventive Medicine and First Aid. This covers de-worming the horse and how to tell if your horse has them, tetanus, rabies, encephalitis, equine influenza, ect. Then we'll cover the first aid. The supplies needed, body temperature, taking a horses pulse, respiration, capillary refill time, de-hydration, wound management, when an emergency strikes, when to call the vet, convalescing horse, and prevention.

.My Horses Body and What Goes In and Comes Out - Equine Anatomy ll. Digestive system, Respiratory system and smell, and Circulatory system. - Hay. As you all know everyone feeds there horse hay but did you know there are different kinds and certain amounts needed for certain horses. In this lesson you will learn the different kinds of hay and how much is appropriate for an average side light breed horse, pony, and draft.(Not always the correct amount but if your not sure you can always ask the stable manager they should always know how much hay a horse needs) - Equine nutrition. In this class you will learn about watering the horse, Energy nutrients and protein, Vitamins and minerals, grain, Mixes and Pellets, Supplements, Special feeding issues for Ponies, Special feeding issues for mules and donkeys, Treats, Feeding behavior. - Whats wrong? Now things can happen to your horse you may not want so you need to be very careful on feeding your horse. This lesson will teach you about Dental issues and Illnesses related to improper feeding. .Inside and Outside Life - Horse Turnout. This lesson covers how to turn the horse out. It covers the three kinds of fences, shelters, water, how to choose pasture companions, turn-out equipment and how to turn out.
- Stable Bandages. This lesson covers how to put stable bandages on and why your horse may need it. It covers what harm it could do to the horse and also why you should use them after fast/hard gallops or jumping.

.Owning A BroodMare Or Stallion/Breeding - Equine Anatomy lll. Reproductive system. - Is She ready? If you think your just going to throw your mare out to breed think again there are a lot of tests and things that need to be done, this isn't free. A lot of problems could good wrong. In this lesson you will learn the problems if breeding, how long the mare will stay in heat, is she ready to be breed, can she be breed, what kind of stallion she should be bred to, and also the complications will the foal is in womb. - My New Foal. Now your horse has given birth to a wonderful new foal but things can go wrong after birth. The foal could get abnormalities or worse a disease. In this lesson you will go over how to protect your new foal from this problems. Also talking about if the dam doesn't want her foal and how to work with the foal after that.

.Students Class Rules.
- When you come to class you come to learn not talk to the other students or distract others. - There will be no food allowed in the class, no gum, no drinks unless its water. - Class time isn't too long or too short, only about and hour and a half. - Field trips will happen to bring a coat because it maybe cold. Marci may or may not bring all the students at once but if she does you are expected to behave! - Please ask questions when you have them since these are IMPORTANT! Current Students: - Joyce Rains
